HEROES OF AVIATION ( 5 ) Amelia Earhart
*** "Adventure is worthwhile in itself." ***
Amelia disappeared on July 2, 1937, en route from Lae, New Guinea to Howland Island
The US government spent $4 million looking for Amelia, the most costly and intensive air and sea search in history at that time.
"Flying may not be all plain sailing, but the fun of it is worth the price."
